SHNU：The SHNU delegation of folk orchestra, composed of 37 teachers and students of SHNU, was invited to the 2011 Chinese Folk Music Orchestra Contest in Hong Kong. After rounds of fierce competition, the SHNU team won a landslide victory of Gold Prize Group. Meanwhile, prize for performances of new pieces, and the title of Best Conductor also went to SHNU. Over 16 professional teams from the HK, and provinces of Zhejiang and Fuzhou were involved. Founded in September, 2005, the SHNU Folk Orchestra was made up of students majoring in folk music performances. This team has been playing an important part in foreign exchanges to serve as a messenger of Chinese culture. |
