SHNU: On July 25, Han Zheng, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee of Shanghai and Mayor of Shanghai, paid a visit to SHNU Flag-bearer volunteers for FINA Youth World Swimming Championships, who were busy rehearsing for the closing ceremony at Moon Bay Outdoor Diving Pool of Oriental Sports Center.
Mr. Han Zheng cordially chatted with the volunteers after watching their orderly rehearsal, and expressed his greetings and expectation. Han gave the volunteers some sunstroke prevention gifts and exhorted them to take care of themselves in the hot summer.
The volunteers in training were greatly encouraged by the Mayor’s visit. They said that to be flag-bearer volunteers was not only a glory, but also a mission given by our motherland, and that they would make every effort to accomplish the performance at the closing ceremony so as to show the world the good spirit of university students.
