SHNU: Since July, thousands of SHNU students have taken part in various social practice activities as volunteers whose outstanding performances have been totally affirmed and appreciated by people of all walks of life.
On July 22, SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei, President Zhang Minxuan, and Vice Party Secretary and Vice President Wang Lianhua, accompanied by principals of relevant departments of SHNU, went to visit volunteers working in XuHui District Government, charity school on Xitai Street and venues of FINA World Championships
Mr. Lu expressed gratitude towards units that provided working opportunities for SHNU students and at the same time, gave his best greetings to those hard working students. Lu said he hoped that students can “read and experience their lives” during these practices, thus shouldering their responsibilities; when they return to school, they can also share their experience with their peers.
The warm solicitude from SHNU authorities encouraged the volunteers a lot who firmly believed that they would continue participating in those social practices in the future to enrich their experience, polish their will and improve their abilities.
It is reported that on July 21, Zhang Weimin, head of the Publicity Department of Xuhui District, visited two schools of Longhua Street, where SHNU students taught voluntarily during the summer vacation.. Zhang highly praised SHNU’s volunteering work, hoping that such volunteering spirit will be passed on all the way.
