SHNU: With efforts in many ways, the SHNU Confucius Institute (CI) at Fukuyama University has acquired qualification to host HSK. Hanban decides that HSK has now officially settled in CI of Fukuyama University, which is of great significance to the Chinese teaching in CI.
Among the 40 people who took the test on June 26, 13 were full-time university students and the others were from different walks of life in Japan. Test results will be released three weeks after the exam. The second HSK will be held on December 4.
The Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) is a national standardized test to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers (including foreigners, overseas Chinese and students of Chinese national minorities). Currently HSK is a comprehensive test system catering to various levels of the Chinese learners, including HSK Basic, HSK Elementary-Intermediate and HSK Advanced. By December 2005, HSK had been taken by about a million examinees from more than 120 countries (including students of ethnic minorities in China).
