SHNU: On June 22, Zhou Ruijin, former Associate Editor-in-Chief of People’s Daily and doctoral supervisor of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, was invited to deliver a lecture entitled The 90th Anniversary of the Foundation of CPC: Seeing China from the World. SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei presided over the lecture.
Prof. Zhou believes that only from the angle of the world can the achievements and challenges of China be understood better. Zhou analyzed the hardship, difficulty and hope in China’s choice of a modernized path after the Revolution of 1911. He also analyzed the status quo of China.
Zhou has once been commended by the State Council for his outstanding contributions. He also enjoys special government allowances and has served as Associate Editor-in-Chief and Party Secretary of Jiefang Daily.
