SHNU: On June 21, SHNU held a meeting to deploy work about typhoon and flood prevention this year. SHNU Vice Party Secretary and Vice President Wang Lianhua presided over the meeting.
Wang Lianhua pointed out that this year's flood and typhoon prevention was faced with new challenges due to the increase of extreme weather conditions and possibilities of typhoon, storm, spring tide and flood. Wang stressed that disaster prevention is more important than disaster relief. He also said all the departments should make concerted efforts and carefully make emergency plans to guarantee the faculty and students’ personal and property safety.
The Department of Assets Administration notified the status quo of flood and typhoon prevention, the relevant requirements, and the preparatory work that had been done by the university.
