SHNU: A meeting was held on June 20 to educate SHNU postgraduates who are to study in foreign countries this year. SHNU vice presidents Lu Jianfei and Cong Yuhao were present at the meeting.
Lu affirmed the achievements of postgraduate-related international communication and cooperation of the university. Lu said the students’ qualification reflects the education quality of the university they study in. Therefore the students studying abroad were not only young scholars but also cross-cultural messengers who not only learn new knowledge but also promote the traditional Chinese culture in foreign countries.
Department of Graduate Student Affairs introduced this year’s organization work of sending graduate students abroad with the funds offered by the Chinese government. Students to be sent also expressed their gratitude to the country and the university, saying they would do their best to reward SHNU once they were back.
This year, 9 graduate students are to be funded by the China Scholarship Council Postgraduate Scholarship Program and 2 students succeed in their application for full scholarship.
