SHNU；The Jazz Band of Washburn University was recently invited to launch a concert on the Xuhui and Fengxian Campus of SHNU respectively. The audience included Mr. Gregory W. Pfleger, Consul of American Consulate in the US, Prof. Jerry Farley, President of Washburn, Lu Jianfei, and Gao Jianhua, SHNU Vice Presidents.
Lu briefed on the history of the SHNU International Arts Festival, and extended his wishes for the success of the two performances.
As sister university of SHNU, Washburn is involved in quite a few cooperative programs, including students exchanges, basketball team visits and the pipe orchestra invited in the 2007 SHNU Arts Festival.
In the performances, such songs were played as “You Are My Sunshine”, “Every Time We Say Goodbye”, and “When I Fall In Love” by the Jazz Band of Washburn University.
