01 Jun 2011

SHNU: Yan Ming, professor from SHNU Humanities and Communication College, had his project of A Brief History of East Asia Chinese Poetry successfully approved to be included in the Shanghai Social Sciences Plan.
Yan summarized his research results in the eponymous scripts amounting to about 210,000 Chinese words. This book is based on long-term exchanges and intimate cooperation with quite a few poem researchers from Japan, ROK and Vietnam.
The project also traces the development of the East Asian poems written in Chinese, simulates the potential differences in the communication processes among various countries, and probes valuable issues about the nationality of the poetry.
