SHNU: Prof. Yin Jie, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SMEC), delivered a lecture entitled Position and Function of Comprehensive Universities in Modern Vocational Education Development at the invitation of SHNU on May 11.
SHNU authorities Zhou Honggang, Huang Gang, Wang Lianhua, Lu Jianfei, Gao Jianhua and leaders from colleges and departments of the university attended the lecture. SHNU Vice Party Secretary Huang Gang presided over the lecture.
Yin analyzed the status quo of vocational education system in Shanghai and pointed out the problems and challenges of the system. By comparing the vocational education system in the U.S., Germany, Britain, etc, he offered a series of measures that could be adopted to improve the vocational education system of Shanghai.
Huang Gang expressed gratitude to Yin for the lecture, saying it shed light on the vocational education development as well as teacher education in SHNU.
