SHNU Signs Cooperation Agreement with Waterford Institute of Technology

SHNU: Headed by Vice President Lu Jianfei, the SHNU delegation paid a return visit to Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) of Ireland the other day.

On April 30, the SHNU delegation was received by Richard Hayer, Vice President of WIT, Dr. Paul Barry, Dean of WIT Engineering Institute, and some department leaders. Also present were relevant people from SHNU International Exchange Division and College of Civil Engineering.

On behalf of their respective university, Lu Jianfei and Richard Hayer officially signed an interscholastic agreement on “2+2” Project for double degree in Engineering Management. Presently, 3 SHNU undergraduate students are studying in the “2+2” program and 2 SHNU students have passed the postgraduate qualifying examination of WIT. 

    Founded in 1970, Waterford Institute of Technology is a new kind of university of science and engineering, the history of which dates back to the 19th century. SHNU College of Civil Engineering, over the past 10 years since its establishment, has achieved remarkable progress through international cooperation and the use of high-quality foreign teaching and research resources.
