25 Apr 2011

SHNU: About 2,500 years ago, Yanzi, one of the 10 most important philosophical disciples of Confucius, once held academic talks on Fengxian of the present Shanghai. Today on April 21st, the Yanzi Classroom, cofounded by International Confucius Association (ICA), SHNU Department of Public Communications, SHNU Library, and SHNU Department of Youth League, held its opening ceremony on Fengxian Campus of SHNU.
Kong Weizhong, member of the 78th generation of Confucius’ descendants, and sponsor of ICA, also came on the scene and hoped that students could inherit more of the wisdom and morals of traditional culture, and permeate Confucianism in daily life.
It is noted that the Yanzi Classroom would invite the scholars home and abroad to impart the essence of Confucianism to SHNU students once a month.
