SHNU Authorities Having Dinner with Students Staying on Campus for the Spring Festival

03 Feb 2011

SHNU: On the afternoon of January 31, SHNU authorities including Zhou Honggang, Li Jin and relevant officials from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission came to have a New Year’s Eve dinner with more than 180 students to celebrate the traditional Chinese New Year, among whom there were undergraduate, post graduate and international students that remained at school during the Spring Festival.

SHNU President Li Jin, on behalf of the university, gave New Year blessings to the students present and, through them, to their family members. Li Jin also encouraged the students to give wishes to their parents, relatives and friends through telephone. Together with words of blessings came a package of new year gifts for each student, including a fitness card, a phone card, and they could also enjoy a comfortable free bath.

Although they didn’t have a reunion with their families at home, the students said that the attentive and humane care from SHNU staff and authorities gave them the same warm feelings as they could get at home.
