29 Jan 2011

SHNU: In the coming days, professor Zhai Xianghua and associate professor Xi Ping from SHNU Astrophysics Center will attend the Cooperative Conference on Large-scale Cryogenic Gravitational Wave Telescope (LCGT) to be held in University of Tokyo, Japan from Feb. 3rd to 11th.

Qu and Xi are about to do researches on Treatment of Quantum Noise and data analyses, two of the key parts of LCGT.

LCGT program aims to probe into the existence of gravitational waves in the universe. The LCGT program provides a golden opportunity for SHNU to participate in high-end international scientific research, and therefore sets a role model for young scholars to go abroad and be involved in such kind of researches.
