SHNU: Recently, the academic paper entitled China's Aid to Africa: History, Theory and Features by SHNU professor Shu Yunguo, also dean of SHNU Africa Research Center, was reprinted full text by Xinhua Digest (No. 24, 2010). The title of the paper was also put on the cover of the journal to highlight its academic value.
The 12,000 words paper consists of three parts. The first part divides China's aid to Africa by three stages of development; the second part discusses the guiding ideology and theoretical basis of China's aid to Africa; the third part expounds the basic features of China’s aid.
The article argues that China’s aid to Africa has vigorously promoted the development of both African countries and China and become the world's new model of international relationship in economy and south-south cooperation.
