SHNU: Recently, 7 SHNU graduates who registered in the university in 1988 gathered at SHNU to attend the donation ceremony of Aiding Scholarship of SHNU College of Foreign Languages and Founding Ceremony of AWLS (All World Leadership Society). This also marks the first program since SHNU Alumni’s Foundation has been started.
SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei briefed on the development of the university and thanked sincerely for alumni’s donations. Lu highlighted that alumni accounted for a cherished part of the university treasure, and appreciated the philanthropic spirits that have been extended to SHNU from the alumni.
AWLS is advocated by over 130 SHNU alumni who studied from 1988 to 1992 and now cover 27 different fields. The foundation aims at sharing life and work experience with the SHNU students for better directions, apart from financial aids.
It is noted that the aiding program will be implemented this year, and benefits undergraduates of language majors who are financially challenged.
