SHNU: On January 5, 2011, the Donation Ceremony for Ethnic Minority Students in Shanghai was held in Xuhui District of Shanghai. 60 students from 6 universities in Shanghai, including SHNU, received donations of RMB 60,000 Yuan and 300 ambition books.
The donators are Shanghai Ganghui Real Estates Development Co. ltd, and Shanghai Meiluo Cultural Entertainment Co. ltd. The ethnic student candidates were listed through such processes as online announcement, college notice, personal application, college approval, university decision, and online release. The funds were earmarked to encourage more economically challenged students to complete their learning life, build a better hometown and contribute more to the society.
Among the aided students, 10 are currently studying in SHNU.
