SHNU Key National Program of Social Sciences Sets Up Historical Record

       SHNU: Approved by the Leading Group of National Philosophy and Social Sciences, the results of the 2nd batch of key bidding programs of 2010 National Social Sciences Funds have been revealed.
       Dai Jianguo, professor of SHNU Humanities and Communication College, won the supporting fund of RMB 800,000 Yuan with his research subject entitled Compiling, Classifying and Studying of Archive Notes of Song Dynasty (A.D. 960-1279).
       Professor Dai’s program falls into two parts: 1) Compilation and classification; 2) Archive notes study of Song Dynasty. Over 500 various notes will be collected from the ancient books and edited in uniform rules. Systematic analysis will also be arranged, including academic explanations, and collation of words and punctuations.
      This marks the first time that SHNU professors have succeeded in applying for the bidding of this kind since 2005.
