SHNU: On December 28, an 85-member delegation from Hong Kong Yan Chai Hospital Affiliated Kindergarten (among them there were 12 current kindergarten's heads) came to SHNU for a two–day visit. Lai Yongping from Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region accompanied the delegation throughout the whole visit.
SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei cordially received the guests on behalf of SHNU and gave a keynote speech on the conditions of China and that of SHNU. Lu encouraged the delegates to experience the multi-culture of Shanghai, strengthen their cultural identification and ethnic perception. An SHNU Teacher from the College of Education delivered a lecture entitled "Reform and Meditation on Shanghai Kindergarten Curriculum".
After the lecture, the delegation visited SHNU affiliated kindergarten and the university museum where a Photo Exhibition of “the Participation, Service and Dedication of SHNU to the Expo” was displayed. The guests marveled at the extensive and profound Chinese culture and the excellent books on the SHNU campus.
Hong Kong Yan Chai Hospital was established in 1973, which has now become one of the six biggest charity organizations to provide comprehensive and diverse charitable service for Hong Kong citizens.
