13 Experts Invited to Evaluate Teaching Achievement Awards of SHNU

SHNU: On December 25, 13 experts from universities including Fudan University and Jiaotong University were invited by SHNU to evaluate its projects for the 2010 university-level teaching achievement awards.

SHNU Vice President Cong Yuhao introduced the general situation of the evaluation of teaching achievement awards this year. As usual, experts other than those of SHNU were invited to do the work so as to guarantee the quality of evaluation. In this way, SHNU could also get precious suggestions from the experts in terms of undergraduate teaching reform, teaching quality improvement, etc.

The experts scrutinized the application materials of 63 projects submitted by SHNU teachers covering literature, philosophy, economics, etc. After it was audited by the presidents’ meeting, the preliminary results will be publicized on the campus website. 

Pertinent suggestions and advice were given on the organization and application for the awards, which were believed to effectively encourage teachers to dedicate more in teaching.

By 2009, SHNU had won 5 state-level and 46 municipal level teaching achievement awards due to the efforts of the whole university.
