SHNU: The other day, the social science project of Modern Descriptive Grammar, co-hosted by three professors namely Qi Huyang, Zhang Mousheng, and Chen Changlai from ICCS, passed the examination of Shanghai Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science. The fruit of the project is a book bearing the same name.
The book is considered to have a high level of academic, theoretical, and practical values, for it not only describes and summarizes grammatical rules, but also explains word usages.
As the result of the efforts of 35 scholars from 23 universities working for 8 years, the book fills a blank in the history of Modern Chinese Grammar and is supposed to be a milestone of researches in this respect.
