American Disney’s Chief Scientist Illustrates Construction Concept of Shanghai Disney in SHNU

SHNU: The other day , Dr. Ben Schwegler, chief scientist of American Disney Company, came to SHNU and delivered a lecture entitled “Sustainable Development: function of environment research” to teachers and students in College of Tourism.

In his report, Dr. Ben Schwegler introduced the environment protection and design of sustainable development in Disneyland. He talked about successful experiences of America’s sustainable development concept and methods, construction of energy-conservation building facilities as well as protection of biodiversity in the Disney land.

After the report, teachers and students from College of Tourism had a heated discussion with Dr. Schwegler towards the construction of Shanghai Disneyland. Dr. Schwegler spoke highly of the research results of SHNU in Urban Ecology and reached intent of cooperation on future programs of Disneyland in Shanghai.
