SHNU: On February 27th, Han Bin, Vice Director of Beijing Genomics Institute, Vice Director of Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, and Director of National Center for Gene Research, visited SHNU and spoke on Genetic Variation and Association Analysis and Domestication Studies of Rice Genomics. The academician introduced to SHNU teachers and students the recent research results of his team in recent years, and detailed on the latest scientific trend on research mean of genomics sequencing and data analyses. Also, Han exchanged with the audiences on the application of genomics sequencing in botany. Han was a winner of Outstanding Youth Science Foundation Award and 100 Talent Plan of CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences). He became the academician of CAS in 2013. Worth mentioning, he also won the second prize of China National Natural Science Award and first prize of Shanghai Scientific Progress Award. |
