SHNU: Recently, Professor Yang Jianlong from SHNU College of Humanities and Communications wrote a consultative letter to Shanghai Party Secretary Han Zheng and received replies from Shanghai Municipal government. Yang wrote that literary creations and criticism have been unprecedentedly overlooked in the backdrop of cultural development and prosperity, although Shanghai has always been the base of literary criticism and literature. In this sense, it becomes imperative to set up Shanghai Society of Literary Critics, and annual salons shall be held to strengthen the development of young critics. The letter has been replied by Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and TV, which informs Professor Yang that special reports have been sent to Shanghai municipal government to establish a literary critics’ group to promote the cultural development of Shanghai. |
