SHNU: The Opening Ceremony of Picture Exhibition on Centennial Overseas Study was held on December 16 on Xuhui campus. SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei and President Zhang Minxuan spoke at the ceremony.
This exhibition, themed “Road to Study Abroad, Dream to Strengthen Motherland”, is a part of the 5th International Art Festival of SHNU.
297 pictures are selected and divided into 8 parts, ranging from Qing Dynasty when the first Chinese Rong Hong went to America to modern times. The history of overseas study is that of the confrontation and blend of Eastern and Western cultures. All the returned Chinese played a great role in flourishing China, their motherland.
The preparation lasted for a year exploring library collections and interviewing experts.The exhibition will last one month from Dec. 16 to Jan. 16 on the first floor of Wenyun Building of Xuhui Campus and from Dec. 23 to Jan.16 on the first floor of Library on Fengxian Campus.
