SHNU: The 8th Conference of Confucius Institute was held at Beijing National Conference Center on November 7th and 8th, involving the participation of China Vice Premier Liu Yandong. It was hosted by Yuan Guiren, Minister of Education in China. SHNU President Zhang Minxuan spoke at the conference with the topic of Forum of Excellent Education Cases. He briefed on the explorations and practices in terms of Chinese language teaching at the Confucius Institute. Currently, SHNU has three of three in Japan, Botswana and America respectively SHNU takes advantage of her discipline strengths to design proper courses and textbooks for the students at different language levels. He also compared notes with representatives from the University of Botswana, the University of Fukuyama which are also where SHNU founded the Confucius Institutes. This conference involved over 2 thousand university presidents and Confucius Institute representatives from about 120 countries and regions. |
