On the evening of October 22, the Chorus of Youth, Melody by the Lakeside 2025 Shanghai Normal University (SHNU)Moon by the Lake Lawn Concert successfully concluded at the large lawn on Fengxian campus. The SHNU Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Vice President Zhu Huijun, and SHNU Vice President Jiang Mingjun attended the event. It was also joined by representatives from relevant university departments and colleges, and over a thousand SHNU teachers and students.
The concert featured over 20 performances spanning multiple genres. Faculty and students from the Conservatory of Music sang Memorial, while the SHNU School of Film, Television and Communication performed the recitation Letters from the War of Resistance. The university Choir presented As You Wish, using song and recitation to evoke memories of our forebears and convey the power of faith. The SHNU String Instrument Ensemble played March of the Steel Torrent, and the University Youth Folk Orchestra performed Gallop of Warhorses. Chinese Etiquette for Honoring Guests, jointly presented by the Conservatory of Music and the Office of International Exchange, invited international students to participate. The national treasure of Peking Opera, crafted by the Peking Opera Workshop, revitalized its charm among the youth. Also, the top ten campus singers took turns performing, keeping the audience in high spirits. As the concert drew to a close, faculty and students sang together Believe and My Motherland and Me, to wind up the performance.
