SHNU：On June 19th, Nathan A. Fox, professor of University of Maryland (UM) visited SHNU and was invited to deliver a speech at Xuesihu Overseas Masters’ Forum. The speech, with the theme of “Temperament, Emotion Regulation and Attention Control: Development of Social Competence in Children”, was made for teachers and students from SHNU College of Education.
The speech centered around the cognitive neuroscience research on prohibition of children’s behavior, particularly the functions of disposition and emotions control, with focus on the development of children’s social behavior.
Professor Fox also exchanged opinions with teachers and students after the talk.
