SHNU: On 28 May, a ceremony was held to by the Plant Species Resources Development Center, a platform for Shanghai University Knowledge Service, to appoint 4 professors as SHNU Special Researcher for Plant Species Development. The ceremony was attended by SHNU President Zhang Minxuan among other leading authorities.
The four professors assigned as the Special Research for Plants Species Development in SHNU are Professor Hou Xilin, a well-known expert of vegetables, and now Dean of Horticulture College of Nanjing Agriculture University; Dr. Fei Zhangjun, an associate professor of vegetable research institute of Cornell University, and one of the avant-gardes for the gene order detection of water melons; Mr. Wang Quanhua, Head of Vegetable Institute of Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Professor Liu Linde, Dean of Life and Environmental Sciences College of Ludong University.
The team would promote the strengths of green vegetable development of the center and play a pivotal role in winnowing the seed resources and mechanism of heat-resistant molecules.
