SHNU: Mark B. Rosenberg, President of Florida International University (FIU), and Mike Hampton, President of College of Hotel and Tourism Management, led a group of four to visit SHNU on May 13th. SHNU President Zhang Xuanmin, Vice President Kang Nian some other leaders of the School of Tourism and the International Office received the visitors. The two sides gave a brief introduction of their own schools, had a further discussion about tourism education cooperation, and reached an agreement on the cooperation of several programs. Both sides will sign cooperation agreements and launch the projects as soon as possible FIU was founded in 1972 in Miami, Florida. According to the specialist ranking from US News & World Report, the school’s college of hotel and tourism management ranks 6th among the universities in America, with which the school of tourism of SHNU has signed a memorandum of cooperation in May, 2012.
