The geographical delegation of the Japanese colleges, led by Yiteng Zhongtong, the principle of Nara Prefectural University, came to Shanghai a few days ago and attended the Sino-Japan International Symposium of the Urban Tourism Economy. The Symposium was hosted by Wang Chengyun, a professor of the department of geography of SHNU’s college of tourism. Professors from Japanese colleges gave some reports at the symposium. Pro. Xiangchuan Guizhi from Kyoto University of Education had a profound analysis of the influence that the changes of the infrastructure due to the aging problem and the development of tourism on the local senior citizens; Pro. Tengjuan Zhengji from Ritsumeikan University introduced some new-rising tourism phenomenon, such as the tours of animation holy land, the volunteer travel, and the tourism in the disaster areas; Pro. Xiaosong Yuanshang from Nara Prefectural University gave a detailed introduction about the online tourism propaganda arising in Nara; and Pro. Jiang Yong from Aichi University made predictions about the possible tsunami in future and put forward some effective measures. The masterly speeches were highly praised by those who attended the occasion, and after that the participants and the guest speakers had a heated interaction.
