SHNU: Recently SHNU and SHNU Confucius Institute of Missouri have held a lecture tour for 2600 junior school students in Columbia. This series of activities was supported by Columbian Education Bureau for the purpose of enhancing students’ interests of learning Chinese. There are three junior schools in Columbia, all of which are intended to open Chinese classes.  Four teachers in Confucius Institute of Missouri have made detailed preparations for the lectures. Eventually this lecture tour turned out to be a great success. Lecturers briefly introduced Chinese history to the students in each session, during which the impacts of American culture on China was also touched upon. At the lectures of Chinese language, students successfully learned to say “Hello” “Thank you” and “Bye bye” in Chinese.
