11 Mar 2013

“French Film Master Class: Cannes-winning Director, Pierre Le Sue” which was jointly held by the World Film Research of SHNU and the Culture Section of the French Consulate General in Shanghai, was successfully hosted on March 6th.

The Master Class held in our school was the only public activity that Pierre Le Sue attended in Shanghai. After watching Pierre Le Sue’s first feature film, Versailles, teachers and students of SHNU attended his unique and profound lecture and then spoke out their feelings and what they learned from the film in the interactive session.

It is reported that the latest work, National Affairs, written and directed by Pierre Le Sue, will screen as the opening film of “the 2013 French-speaking Countries Film Festival” which will be held in 15 cities of China in March. National Affairs has received numerous major awards of Cannes and Caesar Film Festival. As the only university among the undertakers of “the 2013 French-speaking Countries Film Festival” in Shanghai, SHNU will show ten excellent films including National Affairs from March 15th to March 24th.
