SHNU: There came the news from San Francisco State University (SFSU) a few days ago that the documentary film The Generation Born after1990 produced by students of SHNU Xie Jin Film & Television Art College was selected in the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival. Two members in the documentary films workshop, Li Yixiao and Wang Shibei, junior students majoring in radio and TV directing, are now studying in SFSU as exchange students. Up to now, the college has successfully offered the International Documentary Workshop in summer vacation for three times. The film Made in China was nominated to be shown in the 2011 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival. Two films Tian Zi Fang and Bei Yao Wan appeared in the 2011’s and 2012’s film festival of the same kind respectively. Now there have been over 60 students from SFSU who have taken part in the workshop of SHNU. The communication and cooperation between the two universities has built a platform for the students from the two countries to grow and become successful.(Translated by Feng Yunyun) |
