On December 15th and 16th, the 2012 International Conference of Intercultural communication was held in SHNU. SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei, President of International Intercultural Research Institute Kolin, Professor of Durham University Mike, President of National Communication Association Pasky and other prestigious scholars in the field of International Interculture were present at the conference. The conference was hosted by Dean of Foreign Languages College Cai Longquan. On the opening ceremony, Lu Jianfei delivered an English opening speech and expressed his warm welcome to the distinguished guests from different parts of the world. At the same time, he stated the key issues in the field of Intercultural Communication and discussed how to cultivate international talents with the concept of Intercultural Communication. Then, the president of China’s International Intercultural Association JiaYuxin awarded Lu Jianfeithe honor of special service for his great contribution to the development of discipline construction and advancement of intercultural academic dialogue. The Conference embedded with explicit themes was warmly welcomed by all participants. The International Conference of Intercultural Communication is held twice a year, and this time the third.
