SHNU teachers’Research Wins Best Paper Award of Acta Psychological Sinica

[Dec. 11, 2012] On Dec. 2, the research paper “The Combined Etic-Emic Approach: CPAI and its cross-cultural application” won Best Paper Award in the 15th National Congress of Psychology held in Guangzhou. The research paper was written by SHNU teacher Fan Weiqiao and his research team in 2011 and published in Acta Psychological Sinica [43(12), 1418-1429], the most authoritative psychological journal sponsored by Chinese Psychological Society.

    Fan Weiqiao and his team have also developed “The Cross-Cultural (Chinese) Personality Assessment Inventory” which has been translated into several languages like English, Dutch, Romanian, Vietnamese, Korea, Japanese, and has been widely used in the psychological field internationally. Other recent research achievements include “The Combined Etic-Emic Approach”, and a paper in American Psychologist(2012, Vol. 67, No. 8,721-730)about their research in the study of the localization of Chinese people and its application.
