A few days ago, “FLTRP Cup” National English Speech Contest came to an end at Beijing Foreign Studies University. Zhu Yueyang, a contestant from the Foreign Languages College of SHNU, won the second price. After the preliminary and the intermediary test, contestants from universities all over China met in the final round of competition. Zhu Yueyang, directed by her supervisor Huo Hongyu and owing to her adequate preparation and assiduous training, stood out from all the 93 contestants and became one of the 60 who entered the second stage of the competition. Zhu Yueyang ranked the second among the second-stage contestants. “FLTRP Cup” National English Speech Contest is sponsored by FLTRP (Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press) and is organized by the Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education for Universities’ Foreign Languages Teaching and English Teaching.
