SHNU Party Secretary Invited to Attend UNAOC Shanghai Conference

SHNU: The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Shanghai Conference and Asia & South Pacific Consultations were held at Shanghai International Convention Center from November 29th to 30th. Chen Jian, chairman of the UN Association of China, Cui Tiankai, Vice Minister of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tu Guangshao, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, and Lu Jianfei, SHNU Party Secretary and Director of China Association for Intercultural Communication, Shanghai were also among the participants.
With the theme of promoting harmony by dialogue and diversity, the attendants discussed the influence of economic development on social politics, culture and values, and how to achieve harmony in Asia and South Pacific regions by dialogue and maintaining diversity.
The UNAOC was founded by the General Secretary of the United Nations, and aims at enhancing mutual understanding between different countries, cultures and religions.
During the session, SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei also paid a visit to Cui Tiankai, SHNU alumni and now Vice Minister of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and invited him to return to SHNU at his convenience.
