A Hundred Scholars Gather in SHNU to Discuss Landforms and Environmental Education

SHNU: Sponsored by Chinese Association for Quaternary Research, National Kaohsiung Normal University in Taiwan and SHNU, the 2012 Landforms and Environmental Education Symposium on Quaternary Environment was held in SHNU. Over 80 representatives from 25 universities and research institutes across China’s mainland and Taiwan attended the symposium.
The theme of the symposium was the scientific research, education and popularization of quaternary study, archaeology in Holocene Age, origin probing study of Chinese civilization, protection and management of environmental resources.
The symposium promoted the exchanges of scholars in terms of environmental changes and archaeology, global climate changes, and natural disasters research. The attendants visited Tongli, one of the tourist resorts around Shanghai.
