Professor Li Zhaoguo Elected as the President of the Translation Committee of WFCMS

SHNU: News came that Prof. Li Zhaoguo, Deputy Dean of SHNU Foreign Languages College, was elected President of the new Council of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS).
 
Headquartered in Beijing, WFCMS is an international academic organization jointly established by academic organizations and institutions of traditional Chinese medicine from countries around the world. Its aim is to increase communications and cooperation among traditional Chinese medicine groups all over the world and promote traditional Chinese medicine’s accession into the medical and health care systems of other countries, making more contribution to human beings’ health.

WFCMS was founded in 2008, and its council consists of experts and scholars from 27 countries and regions. Li was nominated as the candidate of President for his contribution and influence in this field both at home and abroad. The committee unanimously approved of setting up the Secretariat in the Foreign Languages Colleges of SHNU for its support of the translation of traditional Chinese medicine.

The 3rd annual seminar was held after the meeting. Over 100 specialists and scholars from China, Britain, America, Italy, and Hong Kong attended the meeting.
