SHNU: Recently, the corridor of the Third Teaching Building on Fengxian Campus has been furnished with western oil paintings to further create an environment of campus culture, which is based on the idea that environment has an important role to play in educating people.
The works of art are created by world-renown painters such as Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Rembrandt’s The Night Watch, Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, Picasso’ Guernica, etc. These paintings can help students know about the development of western oil paintings and raises their level of art appreciation.
Many students said that walking through the corridor, they feel like taking lessons in an art museum and they are simply astonished by those wonderful oil paintings. Some teachers also believe that visiting the corridor will enable them to learn more about oil paintings.
At the end of this November, the display of the collection of Chinese opera figures in QinghangShengping will be arranged on the Fifth Teaching Building on Fengxian Campus.
