SHNU: The 31st China•Harbin Summer Music Concert of Accordion Art Week and 2012 International Accordion Competition was held in Harbin this summer.
Wan Yizhong, Shi Xuan and Huang Mengxiao from the Music College of SHNU won three first prizes, respectively in adult bass group, adult pop music group and youth group. SHNU students also got a second and a third prize in this competition which attracted 300 competitors from Russia, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, China, etc.
Later in the 2012 National Accordion Competition held in Jinan, SHNU competitors harvested a lot of awards with their excellent psychological quality and perfect professional skills. Wan Yizhong and Shi Xuan, won two first prizes once again.
At present, the major of accordion of SHNU has become the key course of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SMEC). It has also got the support of the “085 Project” (connotation construction project of higher education) of Shanghai launched by SMEC.
