SHNU: A delegation headed by Mr. Govert Veldhuijze, Vice Governor of South Holland, visited SHNU on August 31. Among the delegates were Mr. Marcel Nollen, member of the Board of INHolland University of Applied Science and Mr. Peter Scheeder, Dean of the College of Agriculture of the university.
SHNU Assistant to the President Mao Xuncheng and relevant staff from SHNU International Exchange Division and College of Life and Environmental Sciences received the guests.
Mao welcomed the delegates and gave a brief introduction of the university. He stressed that based on teacher and student exchanges, more cooperation between the two universities could be strengthened. He also suggested a cooperative research centre be established.
The main purpose of the delegation is to investigate the cooperative programs on Horticulture Major and student exchange with SHNU. Wang Quanxi, Dean of SHNU College of Life and Environmental Sciences, introduced the basic situation on the application for the cooperative education of Horticulture Major.
The two parties also discussed the cultivation of students’ innovative spirits, school-enterprise cooperation and relevant topics.
