SHNU：Recently, SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei led staffs from College of Information, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to celebrate the founding ceremony of China Institute of University of Dayton at Dushu Lake Area of Higher Education in the city of Suzhou。
As the first research institute founded in Dushu with an American university, it aims at promoting cooperation between Chinese universities and multinational corporations, cultivating talents and offer training in field of nano, sensing, biological engineering, and renewable sources of energy. The top municipal leaders of Suzhou City, and Dayton president Dr. Daniel J. Curran were the participants of the ceremony.
Moreover, Daniel signed the cooperative agreements with 5 multinational corporations of Suzhou, so as to provide a learning, internship and work opportunity for the students of Dayton and SHNU Cooperation Program. Since 2003, over 120 SHNU students of the program were sent to exchange and learn in the University of Dayton.
