SHNU: The International Conference on Computational Sciences cohosted by SHNU and Shanghai University was held in SHNU on July 16. 150 experts and scholars from over 10 countries including UAS, UK, France, Canada, etc. were present at the Conference that was to last for 5 days.

This symposim aims to provide the experts and scholars with a platform for exchanges and cooperation in the fields of computational sciences (ISCS). And it mainly involves such issues as the difference method, finite element method and spectral method for mathematical and physical problems, the algorithm and analysis for nonlinear problems and the numerical methods and analysis for stochastic equations, etc.

On the morning of July 16, the opening ceremony was held at the SHNU Conference Centre. SHNU authorities including Zhang Minxuan, Cong Yuhao and Ke Qinfei attended the ceremony. Over 10 academicians and other outstanding experts and scholars in this field from China and other countries took part in the conference.

This conference was financially supported by Zhongshan University, E-Research Institute of Computational Sciences of SHNU, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China as well.
