SHNU: On June 16th, the delegates from the College of Charleston (CC), USA, visited the Law & Politics College of SHNU.
Before this visit, Mr. Donald C. Burkard, Vice President of CC, talked with Prof. Shang Hongri, Dean of Law & Politics College of SHNU, on such topics as student exchange, academic cooperation and reached an initial agreement.
The visit of CC aimed to improve mutual understanding and seek the possibilities of future cooperation. Both parties agreed to cooperate on short-term exchange program, multinational scientific research, and making preparation for international academic conferences, etc. After the meeting, the delegates visited the SHNU Museum with interest.
Founded in 1770, the College of Charleston is a public school of Ivy League, and one of the 13 oldest educational institutions in the United States. The college abounds with age-old historical culture and dense cultural atmosphere, and is famous for its high-quality teaching administration, free academic atmosphere, and beautiful campus environment.
The college has such academic divisions as School of the Arts, School of Business, School of Education, Health, and Human Performance, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Languages, Cultures and World Affairs, School of Sciences and Mathematics, and several teaching and research units.
