SHNU: The clothing ceremony of the 6th Irish Festival of SHNU Foreign Languages College was held on June 6. SHNU President Assistant Mao Xuncheng, Mr. Austin Gormley and Mr. Peter O'Connor, Consul General and Vice Consul of Consulate General of Ireland in Shanghai, and general manager of Irish Center attended the ceremony.
Mr. Austin Gormley expressed his gratitude to the college for its efforts in the promotion of Irish culture. Mao delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the university. The closing ceremony reviewed the colorful activities of the three-month long festival, and the wonderful performance and standard pronunciation of the students won the cheers of the audience. This festival saw participation from freshmen to junior students of Foreign Languages College and covered activities such as poem recital, theme speech, tap dance learning, poster design, drama performance, etc. |
