SHNU: On June 5, Doc. John A. Shelnutt, professor of University of Georgia and outstanding member of Sandia National Laboratories, was invited to SHNU to lecture on the 2012 Overseas Masters’ Forum. The topic of his lecture was “Porphyrins Pair Up: Nanomaterials from Ionic Self-assembly”.
After the lecture, Prof. John A. Shelnutt visited the Chemistry Department and Laboratory Center of Life and Environmental Sciences. He was amazed at the development of the Chemistry as an academic discipline and said he was willing to cooperate with SHNU in scientific research and post graduate education. Prof. John A. Shelnutt has published over 200 academic papers and owns 12 patents of invention, 6 of which has been transformed into products. He was also a member of the Editorial Board of the world-renown periodical -- Nanotechnology. |
