SHNU Student Performed Well in the First Spring of Shanghai Vocal Competition

     SHNU: Recently, the 29th Spring of Shanghai held the first national vocal competition. The competition has attracted nearly 400 players from 25 provinces nationwide. 
     All the players are from professional music schools and performing art groups, which shows high professional qualities. It has been the most significant vocal competition since the close down of the National Young Singers Competition held by CCTV. Five students from Music College of SHNU passed the preliminary round and entered the semi-finals and 3 of them achieved fairly good results in the final round. Zhou Yanyan, a young teacher from SHNU won the third prize in the National Vocal Music Group; another young teacher Song Gang and Wang Xiaoting, a Grade-2011 postgraduate student, supervised by Prof. Yang Qing were also awarded in the competition.(Translated by Bai Yuan)
