SHNU: On April 11, SHNU Education Development Foundation was awarded two prizes in Shanghai Charity Award, namely, Yang Deguang, former SHNU President, donates for school education by selling houses, and Sunlight Seeds Foundation “Plan of Thousand Yuan RMB”.
Yang Deguang’s deeds were recognized by the public and interviewed by Shanghai TV Station and Shanghai Radio Station.
The “Plan of Thousand Yuan RMB” aims at providing a platform for the children of Shanghai migrant workers and students from China’s western poor regions. This program attracts over 200 volunteers and implements about 130 successful activities.
About 24 individuals, 21 enterprises, 15 charity organizations and 30 benevolent projects were awarded.
